Will my shipping container be secure from thieves?

Shipping containers are constructed to make break-ins difficult. However, we recommend taking additional steps to secure your container.

As a basic security measure, we recommend fitting a padlock on your shipping container's doors. The padlock can be further secured with a shipping container lock box: a reinforced steel box that is welded across the two doors. A shipping container fitted with a lockbox would take heavy equipment to break into — a major deterrent for most intruders.
